2018 03 17 Honohono Orchids in Bloom! Insider Tip
We all love Honohonos in Hawaii! They look gorgeous, smaell lovely, and after whole year of TLC, they bloom only for a few weeks in March. And the peak season is just starting now.
If you are looking forward to visit Windward Orchid Show and Kunia Orchid Show on March 23 ~ 25 to buy some pots of Honohonos, you are sure to find great plants!
But if you can't wait that long, here's an insider tip - Did you know some of the orchid club members occasionally go to swap meet to sell their plants? If you are eager, visit the Aloha Stadium this Sunday, March 18. You'll find beautiful flowering Honohonos as well as other kinds of orchids. Go early before all the good ones are taken!

2017 10 Japanese Cultural Center Honolulu "Okage Samade" exibit
Hawaii is so rich in ethnic diversity. Japanese is one of them. Their migration to Hawaii, life and adjustments, contribution and concentration camp during the war.... JCCH set up a nice exhibit with plenty of short videos.
