The first general meeting of 2023 will be on January 23 at 7:30 p.m. No lectures but "swap meet" of plants and other things. Bring stuff to sell and barter, and buy from other members. Have fun!

Honolulu Orchid Society is pleased to announce our next general meeting will be on Zoom on Wednesday Jan 11 at 7pm. There is no January in person meeting.

Note: HOS is planning in person meetings for Feb (luncheon), March (silent auction), April and May. Then in June a Zoom presentation by Fred Clarke of SVO orchids.

Honolulu Orchid Society Zoom January General Meeting - "The Goldilocks Zone: A Review of Intermediate Orchids and How to Grow Them". By James Keach, PhD.
Description:
A lot of times we find ourselves restricting which orchids we try to grow based on our conditions and the reputation of a group of orchids. But did you know there are Cattleya and Vanda relatives which can survive light frosts? Or Masdevallias and Cymbidiums which bloom near the equator? Join us for an overview of some 'intermediate' orchids, which don't need things too hot or cold, and some tips for finding and growing them.
We are inviting all of the orchid societies, schools and clubs in Hawaii to this Zoom meeting. James is an outstanding speaker and knowledgeable orchidist.

2022 10 07 Honolulu Orchid Society Show
