Matthew grew up on a green onion farm in Waianae, Oahu and collected all kinds of plants as a kid. At the age of 9 years old he saw a beautiful Dendrobium hybrid and that began his love for orchids. Today, his collection consists of a variety of plant species from around the world. His passion is to educate and encourage others to collect more orchid species.
